Sarah Newell - Final Project

A bit of context; I spent much of my childhood running feral with my best friend and my siblings. We would create the most magical imaginary worlds together inspired by the world around us.

  1. I really love the slight cool touch you brought up in the front detail part. Also, the details of slight textures in the grasses! it looks awesome! I'm not sure if this suggestion will make your illustration better, I want to see more various shape variations in your tree trunk and branch designs. I like the way you simplified the designs of it, since they need to blend into the background, but I don't mind seeing little more variations on those!!! BTW, I'm amazed that you always keep time for the deadline with a great work!! which is not easy at all! Have a great summer!!!

  3. I like it! My only suggestion would be to either punch a few more dark shadows into the trees or tighten the lights on the fox just for more cohesion.

  4. I love the colors you picked. The environment and time of day are really well communicated. I think what really stands out to me is how tall you made this piece and I love it! Making it really tall like that really changes the way I look at it and I find myself dwelling on different parts of the composition as a result.
